Sunset Over the Forth

An amazing sunset over the river Forth near Edinburgh.

This was taken from the shore just past Musselburgh when I was flyfishing for Mackerel.

The Mackerel arrive usually mid to late July, and then you can catch them from various locations on both sides of the River Forth.

Most popular method is using a team of feathers or a spinner - most fun method is catching them on a fly rod!

This picture shows Juan, a friend from Madrid catching his first Mackerel on a fly rod
